Course Description
Over 1.2 million people are affected by back problems every year in the UK. It is one of the biggest causes of absence from work and causes almost 10 million working days to be lost. It is the duty of every employer under the Manual Handling regulations to reduce the risk of injury from manual handling operations.
This course looks closely at risk assessment and reduction as well as lifting and carrying. Correct risk assessment and moving and handling procedures can reduce your organisation’s costs through back problems and will improve moral by showing employees that their well-being is protected.
