Outdoor First Aid

High Peak First Aid has eight outdoor first aid courses every month.  These are held every Wednesday and Thursday and every weekend.  Over 21 years we have trained over 25.000 people with the courses being accepted by the major governing bodies such as the Mountain Training Association, British Canoeing and MIAS to name a few.

This outdoor first aid course comes with our waterproof wilderness first aid book.  In addition all course participants have access to a comprehensive selection of first aid supplies at discounted prices from our first aid supplies shop.  You can see current availability for this outdoor first aid course here.

There is the option to also attend the First Response Emergency Care Level 3 after the High Peak Wilderness First Aid Course.  If this option is taken, we deduct the £144 off the cost of the FREC 3 course.  Details of FREC 3 can be seen here.

First Response Emergency Care (FREC 4)

The First Response Emergency Care series of qualifications are regulated by Qualsafe.  They offer a progressive route with the option to step off at any level. First Response Emergency Care is suitable for community responders, outdoor educators and personnel from the security industry, fire service, private ambulance companies and police firearm teams to name a few.  Gaining the FREC 3 qualification allows you entry to FREC 4.  Both qualifications are taken over 5 days.

For both FREC 3 and FREC 4 we ensure you receive plenty of practical work over the five days both inside and outside.  We are lucky enough to have a variety of terrain on our doorstep to ensure that you are capable of working in all environments.  If you need the First Person on Scene Intermediate (FPOS – I) to FREC 3 conversion we have the dates here.

Due to demand we have added another FREC 4 to our programme.  This will be spread over three weekends and held at our training facility in the Peak District.  The dates are:  March 10-11, April 7-8 and 21st.  If you would like to take these dates, please contact us on 01433 621484 or info@highpeakfirstaid.co.uk as it is not possible to pay through the website for a split course.

21 years of Outdoor First Aid

High Peak First Aid was established 21 years ago and has provided first aid training from basic to advanced levels to well in excess of 20,000 people in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia.

We are about to add a host of new first aid qualifications to our website along with more dates for the First Response Emergency Care Level 3 and the FPOS I conversion to FREC 3.

If you are an outdoor pursuits instructor, the High Peak Wilderness First Aid 16hrs is an established 16hr outdoor first aid course that has been accepted by Governing Bodies for the past twenty-one years. Taking this practical outdoor course will ensure that you are first aid skills are kept up to date and your outdoor qualifications are validated.

First Person on Scene Intermediate to FREC 3 conversion

The FPOS I conversion course to FREC 3 is now available. Our first availability for this conversion course is January 2018. If you have a current First Person on Scene Intermediate qualification it is possible to renew by attending the FREC 3 conversion qualification.  This is taken over three days and gives you the option to attend the First Response Emergency Care (FREC) 4 course. You can see dates and how to book at First Person on Scene Intermediate

Free 16hr Wilderness First Aid Training

We currently have eight Wilderness First Aid courses a month.  These outdoor first aid courses are accepted by most Governing Bodies and make a good foundation for anyone considering attending the First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3).  It is possible to attend the FREC 3 with no previous first aid experience. However, we are offering a free place on a High Peak Wilderness First Aid 16hr course for anyone who requests this on booking the FREC 3 qualification.
