The Combat Application Tourniquet (CAT) is a useful addition for a first aid kit to treat a life threatening bleed. The tourniquet is secured around the limb and tightened via the windlass: this creates circumferential pressure around the limb to arrest the life threatening bleed.
Orange is a highly visible colour to use in a forestry or outdoor setting.
